# Yotin Energy

The name comes from *yôtin*, the Cree word for wind — a force that
crosses the land without being seen. WellFi works on the same principle: what
cannot be seen can still be measured.

Scope note: WellFi is a **production monitoring** tool. It is not an MWD/LWD
drilling service, not a wireline logging service, and not sand-control or
flow-control hardware. Yotin's currently offered product line is WellFi.

## Product: WellFi

Wireless downhole telemetry. The tool sends its readings up through the
formation itself by electromagnetic telemetry to a receiver at surface, so there
is no downhole cable to run, clamp or damage.

### Installation

WellFi runs on the tubing string. The collar is made up into the string, or
strapped to the tubing OD inside casing, subject to casing size - confirm per
well. It is most often run on a new completion or during work that is already
scheduled, such as a planned progressing cavity pump changeout or a workover, so
no separate intervention is required. It can also be installed on its own run.

### Data path to surface

A surface receiver and ground reference decode the telemetry and output it over
MODBUS RS-485 or 4-20 mA to the existing RTU or SCADA system. The WellFi Access
Portal also analyzes the data and returns recommendations on drawdown, vibration
and produced-fluid trends.

- Numeric readings shown on the website's channel cards (for example 2600 kPa or
  4.2 mm/s RMS) are **representative illustrations, not live or guaranteed

- Casing-size compatibility for the strapped configuration is confirmed per well
  and should not be stated as a fixed limit.
- WellFi is rated to **150 °C**. A higher-temperature version for thermal / SAGD
